A secured system

The net’s rigging system insures the stabilisation of the safety net, and prevents the net from drifting when currents or waves are strong. The system only absorbs a limited part of the generated force, which reduces the forces it is subject to and increases its lifetime. In this way, the MEDUSA PROTECT net is always held in a vertical position despite its moving, which means that its protection remains efficient.

Bathers security

The MEDUSA PROTECT net concept is designed so that no bather may get caught or hurt himself/herself on the net. It is made up of a 20 cm diameter flotation collar on the surface and a white wet-end which allows its visibility from afar.

The net must necessarily be positioned in the bathing area within the 300 meter limits, in that way no buoying is needed. However in order to insure the bathers’ safety, it is advisable to put up a warning explanatory board.
It is prohibited to:
• go over or under the net
• hold on to the net
• swim close to the net in the event of heavy swell
If the net is located in an unprotected area, buoying will need to be laid as per navigation code regulations.
